One dashboard, several websites — how multi-site actually works

If you run the chatbot for more than one business — a second location, a sister brand, or client sites you manage for other owners — the last thing you want is a separate login (and a separate password to forget) for each one. SiteMind's Pro plan supports up to five websites on a single account, and the design rule behind it is simple: switching sites should feel like switching a tab, not switching accounts, and no site should ever be able to see or answer with another site's information.

The site switcher

Once your account has more than one website connected, a small chip appears in the dashboard header — the current site's name and domain, with a globe icon. Click it and a "Switch site" menu drops down listing every active site on the account. Pick one, and the whole dashboard reloads scoped to that site: leads, FAQs, appointments, everything.

A couple of details make this safer than it sounds. Paused sites show a muted "Paused" badge and aren't offered as switch targets at all — a paused site has no working dashboard to switch to. And if your account only has one site, the switcher doesn't show up — there's nothing to switch between, so it stays out of the way.

Every site is its own business, not a shared template

This is the part that matters most if you manage sites for different clients or locations: identity doesn't leak between them. Each site has its own business address, phone number, hours, timezone, review link, and where leads get sent (email, webhook, or text). Widget appearance — theme color, welcome message, avatar, brand name and logo — is per site too. Set one site's hours to Tuesday–Saturday and another's to Monday–Friday, and the chatbot answers each visitor with the correct one, because "correct" is scoped to the site the visitor is actually on.

The same separation holds for FAQs, marketing campaigns, and appointment booking: what you write for one site's FAQ never surfaces as an answer on another, and a marketing send scoped to one site's audience never reaches a different site's contacts. If a field is left blank for a site, it inherits the account default — you're not forced to re-enter everything for a site that's 90% the same as your main one, but nothing carries over silently for the fields that matter.

Starting fresh, every time

Setup follows the same rule. Each website gets its own 14-day setup checklist the moment it's connected — a new site never inherits a sibling site's progress, so "already done" for site A never hides a step that's still outstanding on site B.

The bottom line

Multi-site isn't a second coat of paint on the same dashboard — it's five independent businesses that happen to share one login. The site switcher makes moving between them fast; per-site identity, FAQs, and checklists make sure fast never means mixed up.
